This question is similar to the other you asked
How to hide exalate button for projects that are not using exalate? (old community)
Can you check if the answers help and if not provide more detail on the use case?

Follow up question would be is it possible to hide connections in the drop down menu? Example. Project X members would only see connections: X > Y, X > Z, but not Z > Y or Y > Z. Currently all the connections are visible in dropdown menu.

Hi,
We managed to solve this by using Scriptrunner and script fragments.
Nice - can you share how you did it?
We used scriptrunner to show Exalate button only to members of servicedesk agent group.
