How to hide exalate button for projects that are not using exalate? only some projects need to be able to exalate issues, and it should be restricted from other projects.

if you have the scriptrunner plugin you can use the script fragments for that.

The exalate button is global for all projects.
Exalating an issue can be triggered either

  • By adding a ‘Exalate Now’ postfunction in a transition - but this requires you to modify the workflows
  • By adding a trigger which is a jql which defines under which condition an issue can be exalated.
One way to do it is to have a dropdown custom field, and use it in the trigger JQL to have a certain value
