Sometimes, a synced comment between Xendesk and Jira Cloud, proxy user is used as author

Originally asked by Matias Vivas on 30 March 2022 (original question)

from Jira Cloud to Xendesk: A few times (maybe 3 times) a week, a comment is generated from the Jira side that is synced to xen using the proxy user as the comment author.

There were no changes to the scripts in the last two months.
All users exist in both systems.
We have a volume of 40 daily comments and only one a day is manifested as described above.

Hi Matias,

There could be many factors that might be causing this unexpected behavior. Is this a visual or script based connection?

Kind regards,

Ariel

Ariel,

Do you have any update on the issue?

This is what is happening. Every time the updateauthor comes up with “automation for jira”, it uses the exalate proxy user to sync comments. It should be force to use the author instead, shouldn’t it? this map(comments) its a visual one, no script
