Status sync impersonation

Originally asked by SDR on 06 May 2020 (original question)

Hello,

we’re using Exalate with two Jira Cloud Instanced - both instanced have the same servicedesk agents registered. When comments are synced the correct author is used - that works perfectly.

Now we wonder if it is possible to sync status changes on behalf of the agent who triggered the status change instead of the exalate proxy user.
If this is not possible: Is it possible to change the displayname of the exalate proxy user because it looks not really professionial when our customers get email from the exalate user when the status is syned.

Thanks!Source: Jira Cloud (old community)

Check out the workflowHelper.transition as executor

It allows to specify the user who executes the traansion.
Note that this doesn’t apply for the more generic status.groovy external script

Let me know
