Lifecycle blocking error

Originally asked by Jozsef Lehocz on 13 May 2024 (original question)

Hello,

Our exalate raises the following message:

Synchronisation will be blocked due to the use of an outdated version. Please upgrade to the latest version before 8/11/2024.

Is there any way to avoid blocking error other than upgrading? (This behaviour does not mentioned anywhere even in documentation, or I have not found it.)

Hi Jozsef,

You can dismiss the error for now, but as the message states, you will have to upgrade your Exalate version before August 11th of 2024 to ensure ongoing compatibility with future versions of the synchronization software.

The time cap can be lifted, and a patched version will be delivered. This is waving the backward compatibility promise of the product, implying that other versions of Exalate might not be able to communicate with the older version.

You can find further information on the following documentation https://docs.exalate.com/docs/release-history

Best regards,

Javier Pozuelo
