Hello. I’m using an old JIRA Server 8.9.1 with Exalate 5.4.0
I need to just plugin works. But all of my sync is blocked due Error “Plugin Expired
Two years have passed since the last jiranode upgrade.”
If I upgrade Exalate to 5.15.0 (last compatible ver.) then another error appears: “Both sides need to have a valid license in order for synchronization to work”
I have already read this: Jira End of Life and Support
And in there is time cap increase mentioned, but I don’t understand how to increase it
Please help.
Hi @evgeniy.kharitonov ,
Welcome to the Exalate community!
The 2 years cap has been included because of the particular nature of Exalate. A loosely coupled system architecture can result very quickly in difficult problems if the divergence between the nodes between multiple versions get too wide. I’m hoping you understand but if not - please let us know.
Regarding the error you encounter when upgrading
If I upgrade Exalate to 5.15.0 (last compatible ver.) then another error appears: “Both sides need to have a valid license in order for synchronization to work”
Probably there is some licensing related to it. Let’s review if all licenses are active.

So I can’t upgrade, because of the license for an older version, and I can’t use the older version because of the 2 years cap. There is way to make this work somehow?

My Jira servers don’t receive any upgrades. So there is no divergence between nodes. It just works fine before this error happens.
