How to install via Salesforce without getting a package error?

Originally asked by Steve Kirby on 07 March 2023 (original question)

 Hiya! I’m in the process of trying to sync up Jira and Salesforce using Exalate, but have ran into some issues that I need assistance resolving. I have the Jira installation completed, but receive an error when trying to install from the Salesforce side. We’ve reached out to Salesforce, but that state that there’s an issue with the package on your side.

Hi Steve Kirby

This is a known issue, caused by the fact that the Salesforce org linked to the app has been deleted by Salesforce
Check out the workaround as documented here
https://docs.exalate.com/docs/known-issue-salesforce-installation-problems

We are in the process to get it resolved - but that will still take a couple of weeks as there are actions to be completed by SF.

Thanks, Francis! I’ll get with our Saleforce admin and try working through these steps.

FYI - we progressed a couple of steps to restore the app.
Let me know when you plan to deploy the workaround. We might have a better solution by then.
