Exalate thread causing Jira performance issues (OutOfMemory Error)

Originally asked by Dmitrij POPOV on 01 March 2022 (original question)

Hello Team,

We have noticed that the Exalate errors are blocking the other threads and leading to OutOfMemory and causing Jira performance issues.

Could you please help us resolving the Exalate errors. We don’t see any errors in the Exalate errors, but causing problems in the backend.

Thanks

Reddy

Hello,

This issue may be cause by multiple cases and not only by Exalate.
For more details please check the following article:

In Exalate case, it could be linked to a big number of active connections on your Jira on-premise and the number of other plugins installed and activated on your machine.

To resolve this issue, you may disactivate Exalate synchronisation connections that you are not using any more.
As well as, augment the “heap” memory size of your Jira’s JVM:

With best regards,
Dmitrij
