Why precisely do I need to create an Azure DevOps project webhook? Is it something I have to do prior to set up the connection or will it be done automatically once a connection has been established?
Most of the times, you don’t need to create an Azure DevOps project webhook, Exalate will do it for you after creating a new connection for the project you setup in its configuration on script mode and after publishing connection on visual mode.
As explained in here you should only check if Exalate created the webhooks successfully. If not you might need to do it your self, for Exalate to be notified of any changes in work items
