Windows Server 2019 Exalate installation?

Originally asked by Chris Leadbeater on 08 December 2021 (original question)

Is it possible to install Exalate on our own Windows 2019 server. Can you provide instructions?

We’re still waiting on a few final environment changes, but hopefully we will be trying it soon!

I may have found my answer here: https://docs.idalko.com/exalate/display/ED/FAQ

For HP ALM: Exalate is delivered as an external application which interfaces with HP through the REST API. You will need following:
  • A host which can run the application
  • The application is delivered either as a RPM (centos) or as a docker image (many platforms)
  • In the case of an RPM, a postgresql 9.4 database needs to be deployed on the host
  • The exalate application needs to have access on the HP ALM application (for reading and writing)

Is Docker licensed as part of Microsoft Windows Server or is a Docker subscription required? I have seen conflicting information.

Thanks.
