How to sync "issue in epic"

Originally asked by sapir monza on 01 December 2019 (original question)

Hi,

How can we sync “issue in epic” from remote issue to the local issue?

We are using Jira server

What do you mean exactly - can you give an example?

Hi,

This is our scenario:

1. The user is creating a new epic is in project A.

2. Once the status of this epic changed to “In Development” a duplicate epic is creating in Project B.

We would like the when Tasks and Stories that were created for the epic in Project B and will appear in the epic in project B under “issue in epic” section, will also appear in the original epic in project A under “issue in epic” section.

Is it clear now?

Thanks!

Hi Francis Martens (Exalate) sapir monza,

This is being handled in support ticket EASE-3558.

Thanks,

André

“This would only get synced if the child issue is under sync as well, so basically if Epic from project B is synced with Epic from project A and child issue from project B under Epic from project B is synced with child issue from project A under Epic from project A, the “issues in Epic” would get synced automatically.”
