Hello Ayumi,
Thank you for the patience.
- It is not mandatory. We recommend to have the late versions of Exalate installed on all instances to eliminate any chance of errors caused by a version conflict.
- Yes, it is possible. If there were any evolution changes made - please contact support to rollback.
- This depends on the root cause of the error. If the connection is configured and set correctly, the Clean-up tools will work as intended in current version.
I hope this helps

Hi,
Unexpected network errors repeatedly occurred.
When I execute "Clean-up by entity" on the syncs in question, the sync status with stacked at "Under Clean-up".
Then I was told to upgrade Exalate.
Before the upgrade, I have some questions below.
We sync 3 instances following.
Jira A: 4.2.5-j7
Jira B: 4.7.8-j7
Jira C: 4.7.8-j8
1. Should we use the same version Exalate in all instance?
2. After upgrade Exalete, can we downgrade if we face problems?
3. We have a stack problem on "Clean-up by entity". Does "Clean-up by connection" have same problem in current version?
