What is the recommended account for establishing the connection between Jira Server and Jira Cloud for synchronization? I am hesitant to use the application admin account, and thinking to create an account dedicated for just the purpose of synchronizing.

Any guidance, lessons learned appreciated.

thanks,

Chris

Hello Christopher,

Do you mean the proxy user? Here are the recommendations for the setup: [https://docs.idalko.com/exalate/x/HIA7](https://docs.idalko.com/exalate/x/HIA7).

Please note that the user should have admin rights to be able to install Exalate and apply the changes to issues synced.
