Custom fields still don't sync. I don't think it's related to initiating from the Public side and choose 'I don't have a url', because we also had to do that for the perfectly working connection we already have configured between Jira Private and Jira Public.
Status of the 2 connections in 'Pending' if we try initiate from Public side, so that will not work.
Must be another reason why custom fields don't sync. I just use the standard lines and I followed the documentation.
Status, commment, labels, description sycn fine in both directions.

Looks like same issue as this one?
Connecting with private jira instance - community (exalate.com)

If I initiate the connection from the Private side and accept the code on the Public side, then the connections stay in state 'Pending'. Also clicking the Exalate button and selecting that connection doesn't do anything. We are using the latest version and I already deactivated/activated the add-on on the Private side.

We are currently setting up Proof of concept between Jira OnPrem (Private) and Azure DevOps. Connection is ok and standard sync works. How can we sync the Jira Component field to Custom text field in Azure DevOps ? Please provide lines for the Jira outgoing script and the Azure incoming script.

Hi,
I noticed you have a private instance connection, you must start the connection from the private instance and then choose "I do not have a URL" to make it from private to public. Then provide with the invitation code to the Azure admin to be accepted. Also, you may review the documentation below.
