Hello,

We have a connection between a Jira cloud and a Jira on premise, that has some problems and the ids of the issues do not match.

We would like to stop the connection, delete all the tickets from the on premise Jira and start the connection again with the Jira cloud. Syncing all the tickets again.

Which is the best way to do this?

Should we stop the connection first? in both jira? should we unexalate before deleting all the on premise tickets?

After everything has been cleaned up, how can we trigger all the tickets of the project to start syncing?

Best Regards

      Hi Lara LG,

We would recommend first using the Clean-up Tools - Cleanup by connection function to stop all the issues in sync as per: https://docs.idalko.com/exalate/x/85ArAQ

Then, delete all the issues from the Jira On-Premise.
Finally, to trigger all the tickets of the project to start the syncing again you can do a "Bulk Exalate" as per: https://docs.idalko.com/exalate/x/YZArAQ

      Kind regards,

      Ariel

        Hello Ariel,

Thanks for your answer one last thing, does the connection need to be active when you do the clean up?. When I have done it before with On premise- on premise connections I always deactivated it first and it worked properly. But for Cloud and on premise it has been an hour and the connection is still undergoing clean up. Is there something I missed?
